Say Anything Footlocker-to-Display Shelf transformation—mixed media decoupage, stenciled, handpainted, totally poppin' 360° display shelf, a fun-filled collage of fanciful whimsy!
This project took me way out of my comfort zone, but I loved every second of it!
This is an insert to a vintage military footlocker. I'd had a complete other design in mind when I first thrifted it. Then I happened to see the work of another artist using stickers to stencil out words and my mind exploded with inspiration. I'vd been thinking of taking my work and making it a bit wordy.
If you look closely and you were a teen in 1989, you may see some things that may be a bit familiar!
So many products and techniques were used. Decoupage papers, acrylic paints, chalk paints, antiquing gel, stencils, handpainting (yet another thing I am gaining courage with), transfers, Acrylic markers. The crackle?? Happened naturally thanks to the milk paint!
The base layers of paints are thanks to chalk paint in French Kiss and acrylic mineral paint in Travelers Gold. The green you see is Artichoke.
It was sealed with hemp oil.
Indoor use only. Dust with dry cloth. Other items in photo sold separately or for display only. ___________________________________________
